My name is Maria del Carmen Merubia. I am 20 years old. I studied at The University ULAT (Universidad Latina Americana) to become a nurse. I got a scholarship so I could go to university. But my parents also had to pay a part of the study. Unfortunately they are no longer able to pay this part. Therefore I had to quit. Now I have chosen another study to become auxiliary nurse, which only lasts two years. In doing so I am able to earn money sooner so I can provide for the rest of my family.
I live with my parents and four younger sisters whom all attend school. My father works as a metal worker/welder and my mother is a cook in the Navy’s kitchen.
