I felt so happy and glad when I heard the news from Ms Rosa, about your wish, which might help me to finance my study in college. For that reason, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Lia Purnamasari, I was born in Jakarta on October 17th, 1986.
I am the eldest daughter of 4. I have 2 little sisters and 1 little brother. When I was in the 5th grade (10 years old), my sisters and I were brought to the orphanage by our grandmother. At that time I didn't know why we should be staying in the orphanage. It was quite a devastating time for us, living far away from our parents and together with strangers. However, after we had adapted to the conditions we could accept the situation and we felt comfortable living in this orphanage. I found a mother figure in Ms Rosa, when I was living there. She taught us, and she replaced our parents for 5 years. When I graduated from my Junior High School, my mother took us back, but Ms. Rosa was still supporting my education in Senior High School and until now she is still supporting me with my college study. Currently I live in Tangerang, I have been working as an Administration Staff member for a Mechanical Electrical Contractor since 2007. I was married in December 2006 with someone I love, but this marriage cannot stop my spirit to pursue a higher education. Today I am studying at a College of Economy, bachelor level, majoring Marketing Management. I am in my 5th semester, so I still have 2 years to go. It costs me around IDR 4,000,000,- (four million rupiah) per semester. I hope with a higher education, I can get a better job and a better future. I want to improve our quality of life, and I wish I can satisfy everyone who supports me and want to make them proud. That is the story of my life and my hopes.
